Hello everyone, sorry I have not posted on here in a while. I just want to take this time to tell everyone Happy 4th of July, and keep it safe. As for me, I will be out dirt jumping at Jeremy Rommel’s house today. Should be SICK, I will update next week with some pics. The last party that we had out there was SICK.

Just got back from Supercamp last weekend, it was a great weekend. Burlin Harris and the rest of the Supercamp crew always do a great job, the kids learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Unfortunately Bubba was broken and not able to make the camp, he was missed for sure. If you have a chance to check it out go to www.abasupercamp.com to see the bone chips that they pulled out of his ankle.

Again just ride hard, have fun, but be safe on this Independence day!

I just got back from a short filming trip through Oregon. It was a fun trip but a lot of things went wrong. Problems came up with our camera man, so we couldn’t film with a really nice camera and we ended up not getting that much footage due to lack of camera man. It was really hot which is kind of unusual for the North West. Our car was towed at Burnside. Overall it was a fun trip. We had a Burnside session with the Independent team, they where on there way down to Lincoln City. I will have a short montage of the trip up at
Video should be up before the 4th.

Where do I begin describing the best trip of my life, second only to my inaugural Standard Byke trip some three years ago. It was just an idea when my friend Brandon Panuccio called me and asked if I wanted to go back to Philly this summer. My initial reply was, %&8# Yeah! So we decided to go there and plan a trip to go race, Brandon is Single-A, racing for Standard, so I wanted to join him in his pursuits at the track. He also is the person who got me into BMX ten years ago. So, with that said, I was happy to be taking someone to my home town, especially Brandon, to see my old haunts and basically shred every thing in sight. Not to mention, we were going to go race in Rockford, Illinois prior to going to Philadelphia. The trip got even better, we decided to add my buddy Jerry to the program, and another week to the trip as well. So lets get this straight, we first left Phoenix to go to Iowa and visit Rick Moliterno, and the newly built Standard Manufacturing Company. So we went to Standard, stayed in Davenport, Iowa, traveled to Rockford for the race and finally after seven years I returned to Philly and the scene of my beginnings, with a short trip to Jersey to ride the Incline Club (Scotty Cramners Park). The trip was so amazing that I literally have to make a list of info because the stories could make a multi volume book at this point.

In no particular order

1. Getting out of the heat—good
2. Davenport, Iowa—big trees, funny faces.
3. The chick who said, these der boys aint from dat dere Iowa, de fromz Awizona. (Classic)
4. Eating allot at Tommys—best food for $5, period.
5. Davenport skate park—-open 24hrs, WHAT.
6. Shredding at 3a.m. till first light.
7. Rick and Jess taking care of us.
8. Watching the Mississippi River flood.
9. Running from a tornado that materialized 250 yards from where we were standing.
10. Running as fast as the flash from said tornado, ha ha.
11. Racing after nine years.
12. Winning all of my races, so fun and funny.
13. Hanging with new friends at the track,.
14. Walking through the woods in Iowa, Philly, and Illinois.
15. Sleeping in truck beds.
16. Winning a bet with Rick—-win main—win race bike, holler.
17. Watching the first batch of in house sprockets being made, receiving 3 of them.
18. Riding and showing the boys my old town—-amazing, they loved it.
19. Taking 700 pictures, thanks digital revolution.
20. Almost being stuck by lightning.
21. Walking 100 miles in 2weeks.
22. Riding everywhere, street, downtown, parks, track.
23. Looking at Saturn through a 18 foot tele—-it was free so funny.
24. Watching Rick bag on the astronomy club, globular m-13 even.
25. Arguing with Jerry-that’s always fun.
26. Seeing my grandparents——awesome, haven’t seen them in a bit.
27. My family taking care of us both financially and as related to meals and food stuffs.
28. Getting jerry a Philly Cheeze Steak.
29. Swinging on the random rope swing.
30. Finding the trails behind the High School in my grandparents town, shredding them.
31. Awesome trip.

I have memories for a lifetime and I think I may race a bit now, who knows, the future is open and I will continue to finish school and decide whats best for me, my brain, my bike and overall happiness, because the bike life sure is fun and I cant imagine living without out food, FUN, and of course spirits. Ha ha, take care I will be shredding my new custom 250’s, if you see me check it out.

In other plugs, look for the new Kronik Drink coming soon, best thing to ever come out of an aluminum can.

I hope everyone had a good go skateboarding day. Everyday should be go skateboarding day. This past week has been a lot of fun. Trip down to Oregon, trip up near the Canadian border, contest on Friday and demo on go skateboarding day. On friday I got to be the MC at a local contest here in Washington at a skate park in Snohomish. It was a pretty fun little park. Then the following day I was in a demo on go skateboarding day, the city didn’t want us to do an official demo so it was kind of different but still fun. Brought some drinks out to the kids skated and had a good time. You can check out more information on the Snohomish contest at www.sports14.today.com I also put a little montage together of the footage I got when I went down to Portland and up near the Canadian border you can check that out at http://www.shredordie.com/davidmckee

after being on the road for the past month, ive finally made it to the (now) sunny northwest. The east coast was fun, philly up to montreal was a blast, got a little hot and humid, but not as hot as the desert! but it def. feels good to be up here in the trees, there are some new parks out here that i havnt been to yet, so those should be good. ill be chillin here for the next few weeks until i go back up to canada for some ten pack concrete park series with kink, and then im goin to the virgin islands for 10 days in august, and a trip to salt lake after that. still a busy summer ahead, cant wait.

in coverage news, my interview in dig is finally available in the U.S., i had a little interview about art and such on the ride bmx website, and i have the back cover of ride us right now. and the east coast trip we just went on will be featured in the next ride.

Today was the grand opening of a new Seattle skate park, located near Green Lake. The park consists of a street course, a mini ram with a spine and two big bowls. I skated in the grand opening demo with a bunch of other North West rippers from Washington and Oregon. If you are ever in the Seattle area this park is one you will want to hit up.

Well, it has been a while since I posted on here and it looks like now is the best time to do that, because I will be doing some traveling soon. All kinds of new stuff going down at Kronik Energy and I myself may be switching it up a bit. I am going to be doing some racing this summer and with the support of Standard Bike Co. and Kronik Energy it should be fun. I plan on hitting my first national in over eight years, in Rockford, IL. I am going on a two and a half wee trip to Davenport, Iowa, aka Standard Country, then the race in Rockford and then to Philadelphia to visit family and ride some new stuff. In other news I am finally done with school for the most part, all I have to do is student teach and Mr. Litecky will be on his way to finding a teaching job. Ha ha, I cant believe graduation is almost upon me. I cant wait to have a fun summer traveling and just hanging out with my buddies across the country. Maybe I will see you too!

Cressey’s First Florida Trip

May 14th, 2008

Since I’d never ventured to Florida before, Jimmy the Greek and Heidi Fitzgerald made sure I took my post-tax season trip with them to Kona!! It was a little strange driving to the airport in Phoenix and actually going with them since they travel back to FL for events and family gatherings quite often.

Talk about the best hosts EVER — I was the luckiest skater in Florida that last weekend in April which was also the last contest in the Florida Bowl Rider’s events. Jimmy and Heidi made sure I got to see the best parts of Florida –

and of course skate some of the most historic parks in our country –

Tampa’s Bro Bowl . . . . and of course Kona — enjoy the shots, but if you haven’t ever been there, it’s a MUST!! A big thanks to Marty for all the work of keeping it going!!

Grind for Life was there — Mike Rogers is one of my heros!

Tim Johnson, East Coast Ripper, giving the Hooters’ Girls the low-down:

and, of course, the contest in the beautiful bowl:

Of course, there are other things to do in Florida, like retire some day — Jimmy and Heidi were practicing for that day 60 years down the road!
